Hornbill Festival visitors number rise to 1,26,771

With 11,197 visitors registered at Hornbill Festival today at Kisama, the total number of visitors till the 8th day of the festival has risen to 1,26,771.  

Among today’s visitors, 259 were international tourists, 1725 domestic tourists, and 9213 local visitors from Nagaland, according to Toka E. Tuccumi, Tourist Officer & statistical -in-charge.  

As per the daily visitors statistic, the Ist day registered 12,200, 2nd day- 18,346, 3rd day- 42,544, 4th day- 11,515, 5th day- 11,893, 6th day- 9646, 7th day- 9430, and 8th day- 11,197.  

Arunachal Pradesh’s Governor Brigadier Dr. B.D. Mishra, Retd will grace the 9th day (December 9) of the Hornbill Festival as the chief guest at Kisama.  

He has been specially invited by Nagaland’s Governor PB Acharya to grace the festival.  

Among others, the day 9 will be marked by Naga Chef grand finale, traditional shot put, Naga Chilli eating competition, Oldies Night at Kisama, Hornbill International Music Festival Kisama etc.
