DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 18 (MExN): The Department of Computer Science, ICFAI University Nagaland, on Tuesday organised a session on “6G Awareness & Innovation” in collaboration with HNNOIX India Pvt. Ltd., a startup working in next-generation communication technologies and global 3GPP standardisation.

The programme, attended by students and faculty members, featured virtual addresses by senior leaders of HNNOIX India and focused on the future of wireless communication, India’s role in the global 6G ecosystem and opportunities for young innovators in the telecom sector.

Expert insights were shared by Hargovind Bansal, Founder and CEO; Rama Mohan Rao, Senior Vice President; Prachi Gupta, Director, HR & 3GPP Interface; Pankaj Kulkarni, Director, 3GPP RAN; and Rakesh Kumar Pandit, Director, External Connect.

The speakers discussed advancements in 6G technologies, global standardisation efforts, India’s contribution to 3GPP and the increasing importance of innovation, patents and R&D in shaping the future of connectivity.

As part of the engagement, the university and HNNOIX India explored possibilities for industry–academia collaboration, including the potential establishment of a 6G R&D laboratory, joint research initiatives, innovation-driven programmes and internship opportunities for students. The session aimed to foster technological awareness among students and enrich the academic environment.
