Dimapur, August 11 (MExN): An online workshop on ‘Cyber Security, Ethical Hacking & Career Prospects of Cyber security’ was organized by the department of Computer Science, ICFAI University, Nagaland in collaboration with Dataspace Security Pvt Ltd on August 9.
According to a press release from the university on Wednesday, resource person Samiran Santra, CEO & Director Datasplace Security Pvt Ltd elaborated on how hackers can hack social media accounts and smart phones by bypassing OTP and E-commerce website bypass, and how to secure oneself from such attacks. He also gave a live demonstration on how phishing websites are created and highlighted the risks of clicking on unknown links, as it can lead to compromising basic details about our devices and lead to data breach. In another session the career prospect of Cyber security was highlighted, keeping in mind the current situation where the demand for cybersecurity experts are increasing, the release stated.
Further, the Coordinator of the workshop, Oinam Bhopen Singh, Assistant Professor and Head of Department for Computer Science, informed that the workshop was attended by staff, students, alumni of IUN and some special invitees who have shown interest in Cyber security domain.
