Kevengo-u Ngotha crowned Miss Phek 2023 at the Phek District Beauty Pageant 2023 held at Phek town on August 25 last under the aegis of Vogue Entertainment Nagaland (VEN).
She is 20 years old from Khezhakeno Village.
Tsiawavi Nyuwi, 22 years from Meluri village and Botoli Wozah, 20 years from Sumi village bagged 1st and 2nd runner-up title respectively.
The sub title winners included; Miss Perfect 10- Kevengo-u Ngotha, Miss Best Rampwalk & Miss Talented- Tsiawavi Nyuwi, Miss Congeniality- Kovi Shupao, Miss Multimedia- Keduwe Wetsa and Miss Photogenic- Ruth Hoshi.
The event was powered by Achievers Akademy, which started on 21st August 2023, declaring the 10 Semi Finalists in the introductory and sashing ceremony with Kumar Ramnikant, Deputy Commissioner, Phek as the Special Judge.
Different activities and grooming sessions were conducted which included Talent Round to choose the subtitle 'Miss Talented' with Vekrolu Khamo, former president, Miss Phek organization as the judge.
A Charity Marathon Race was also organised to create awareness program on girl child education under Miss Phek Foundation, a scholarship program under the initiative of Vogue Entertainment Nagaland.
Seminar was also conducted in collaboration with National Tobacco Control Board and Phek Town Chakhesang Students Union in spreading awareness on tobacco wherein the contestants were also made to participate and extended slogans, according to VEN Managing Director (Event) Vilhousa Movi.
The grand finale on August 25 was graced by MLA Dr. Neisatuo Mero and Ezhotou Keyho, Femina Miss India Nagaland as the guest of honour and special guest respectively.
The judges included; Danube Kangjam- winner of Sunsilk Mega Miss Northeast 18th edition, Jentiren Jamir- 2nd runner-up Miss Nagaland, Kuno Resuh- Team Leader VEN, Merenzungba Longkumer- Mr India International 2022 and Sanjeev Tamang- Fashion Designer.
The event was choreograph and directed by Ravolu Chuzho, former Team Leader of VEN and deputy chairperson Miss Phek Foundation.
