Dimapur, February 11 (MExN): The Khezhakeno Gazetted Officers’ Forum (KGOF) held its General Session in Khezhakeno Village Council Hall on February 10.
According to a press release shared by the KGOF’s Information & Publicity Secretary, B Seyievelo Sono, the programme was chaired by its President KGOF Pfukrulhou Koza, Joint Director State Department of Rural Development.
Commissioner and Secretary Kevekha Kevin Zehol, while exhorting the gathering, shared that “it is God who chose us to be what we are despite there being many who are equally qualified.”
To this end, he encouraged the members to be humble and sincere in their respective duties and shine wherever they are posted.
Zehol also encouraged members to build friendship with neighbouring villages and to foster better understanding and unity.
Further, he challenged the members to undertake developmental works for the benefit of the village and to take initiatives to safeguard, promote and make the historical sites and places of interests more accessible for those people coming to the village.
Dr Joel Koza, Deputy Director, State Department of Health &Family Welfare and Er Daniel Kevie EE, Road & Bridges presented the General Secretary and Finance Secretary reports, respectively.
A KGOF booklet was also released by Zehol, the senior-most member of the Forum.
Meanwhile, D Lhouchinyi Koza, VCC Khezhakeno exhorted the gathering and encouraged the members to make time for reading the words of God despite busy schedule and also thanked KGOF for organising its General Session in the village.
This has given the villagers opportunity to share their thoughts and interact with all the officers, he said.
Earlier in the day, the village gate constructed by KGOF was inaugurated by the President, KGOF and dedicatory prayer was offered by Rev Ngochinyi Koza, KCRC.
The press release further informed that the new team of KGOF executives for the tenure 2024-26 was announced during the meeting.
The executives are Er Daniel Kevie, EE (R&B) - President; Ngopelo Zehol, Asst Supdt (Gov. Sectt) - Vice President; VekhroloKoza, BDO (RD)- General Secretary; ChepeuKoza, Forest Ranger (FE&CC) – Joint Secretary, Er Neitelo SDO (PHED) - Finance Secretary; Vekhrotso Koza, JSO (NC Secretary– Treasurer; Seyievelo Sono SDAO (Agriculture) - Info & Publicity Secretary; Veteü Koza, Asst Director (Tourism) & Mary N Koza, Steno Gr-II (NLA Sectt.) - Women Representatives; Dr Ngopelo Keviechu, SMO (DH&FW) & Er Pfutsulo Thasou, EE (Water Resources) - Representatives to CGOA.
The outgoing President and Vice President have also been selected as the Advisors to the KGOF.
