Khonoma, September 1 (MExN): Khonoma Green Village will be reopening tourism activities with a set of guidelines from September 2, the Ecotourism Management Committee informed in a press release on Wednesday.
According to the guidelines, only tourists on pre-booking and package tours would be allowed, provided they produce vaccination reports to the concerned Tour Operator. Visitors or Tourists planning to visit Khonoma Dzükou must take local guides who are available through Khonoma Tour Operators.
It also advised visitors and tourists to follow the 3Ws—wear mask, wash hands, watch distance, and the avoid the 3Cs—crowded places, close contact, and closed and enclosed spaces
The release informed that those visiting Khonoma for picnic or sightseeing should leave Khonoma jurisdiction by 5:00 pm in the winter (October to February) and 6:00 pm in the summer (March to September). Collection of flora and fauna, washing of vehicles or cloths in rivers, anti-social elements, gambling in any form, and loitering are strictly prohibited, it added.
It also said that flying of drones would be allowed only at designated places and cautioned that visitors and tourists violating the guidelines would be penalized by the Khonoma Youth Organisation.
