Kohima, October 19 (MExN): The Kiruphema Local Ground Rostrum was officially inaugurated on Thursday by Vibeilietuo Kets, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister, Government of Nagaland.
Addressing the inaugural function, Vibeilietuo Kets, emphasised the importance of such infrastructure in promoting local culture, sports, and community development. Kets said Kiruphema village can be a testament to the commitment of the Government of Nagaland towards the welfare and development of its communities. “It will undoubtedly be a center for cultural exchange and community engagement for years to come,” he stated.
Advocating on vocal for local, Kets viewed “modeling our business practices around local products not only preserves our heritage but also has several key advantages while supporting local businesses and modeling our economic practices around local products is not just a smart business decision; it's a way to strengthen our communities and safeguard our unique cultural identity.”
Vichülie Dahou, Chairman, Kiruphema General Council stated that the Kiruphema Local Ground Rostrum has been a long-awaited project that promises to bring numerous benefits to the community and the region as a whole. This state-of-the-art facility, he maintained will serve as a focal point for various community events, gatherings, and cultural activities. “It is expected to foster a stronger sense of community and provide a platform for local talent to showcase their skills and creativity,” said Dahou.
Earlier, the dedicatory prayer was pronounced by Pastors & Catecist of Kiruphema Churches for the inauguration of rostrum. The inauguration programme was attended by dignitaries, local leaders, and residents of Kiruphema Village.
