KUT celebrates Khaozaosie Hok-Ah festival

Tuensang, February 1 (MExN): The Khiamniungan Union Tuensang (KUT) celebrated the Khaozaosie Hok-Ah festival on January 29 at Parade Ground Tuensang with L Khumo, Advisor for Fisheries & Aquatic Resources, Evaluation, Economics & Statistics, Government of Nagaland as special guest.


Speaking at the programme, L Khumo encouraged the Khiamniungans living in and around Tuensang Headquarters to maintain discipline in all areas of life for peaceful co-existence with the rest of the communities, stated a press release from KUT General Secretary M Shiu.


The speaker impressed upon the gathering present “to develop accommodative attitude towards all human beings and have good legacy by building good relation within and outside the community.” He further said that, the celebration of Khaozaosie Hok-Ah festival will provide an opportunity for the youngsters to learn the rich and unique cultural values of the Khiamniungan Naga.


Khumo further appealed the KUT leaders to serve the community with an upright attitude and work sincerely for its upliftment.


ADC Tuensang, President, CKS, President, KTC and President, TVCU also spoke in the programme.


The KhaozaosieHok-Ah Cultural dance was performed by Peshu village cultural troupe, Nokhu Village cultural troupe, Yokao village cultural troupe and Khiamniungan Cultural Club Tuensang.
