KOHIMA, JANUARY 25 (MExN): The XVI Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) meeting of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Kohima was held on January 24 at KVK Office Conference Hall.
Ruovilhou Riilho, District Agriculture Officer, Tseminyu chaired the meeting and welcome all the members and requested them to share their valuable suggestion.
Joint Director, Agriculture Government of Nagaland Sanuzo Neinu, addressed the meeting and emphasised the essence of KVK in the district, its purpose to serve the rural mass and farming community for their upliftment through the perspective of agriculture and allied discipline.
Dr Ruokuovilie Mezhatsu, Principal Scientist & Head shared the KVK mandated activities and presented the detailed Annual Progress Report (APR) of KVK Kohima for the financial year 2023-24. The literature publication titled “A Manual Guide on Gardening and FAITH (Food Always In The Home) Garden Techniques” was released by the Joint Director. Meanwhile, the Annual Action Plan (AAP) of KVK Kohima for the financial year 2024-25 was presented by the concerned discipline respectively.
After thorough discussion and deliberation the house unanimously approved the AAP 2024-25. Besides, various Districts Officers of Agriculture & ATMA, Horticulture, Veterinary Service & Animal Husbandry, Sericulture, Land Resource, and Forest Departments and other line departments, progressive farmers, and farmers producer organisation attended the meeting.
