LPO questions caliber of LH to excommunicate its Chairman

Wokha, July 19 (MExN): The newly formed Lotha Public Organisation (LPO) has questioned the Lotha Hoho (LH) on what caliber it has excommunicated Sulanthung Humtsoe, Chairman LPO from Lotha Hoho.

In a press release today, the LPO reminded the Hoho to function based on “democratic principles,” and not to function like “military dictatorial or communist system of governance.”

After crucial deliberation on the issue on July 18, the LPO further reminded the Hoho that it was not formed on individual interest, but “with the interest of 94 displeasure villages.”

It clarified that the prime design of LPO formation was “to express dissatisfaction and resentment against the present incumbent LH team who preoccupied their post without following certain guidelines.”

The LPO further reminded the Hoho that it was “just a temporary interim organization/pressure group to rectify and reconstruct their new team following the guidelines on specific time frame.”

Stating  that it was in no way intended to divide the Lothas to regulate parallel organization, it stated the “LPO will be automatically obsolete after the new team of LH is formed.”

Meanwhile, regarding a reported clarification by the Ralan Area Lotha Hoho (RALH) dated July 17, LPO said it was not surprised by their statement “since RALH were not even present in the LPO formation.”

The chairmen, GBs of the 94 villages has “extended unflinching support and unanimously endorsed Sulanthung Humtsoe as its leader.”

It has further resolved to disassociate from LH “till the new team is formed as demanded by LPO.”
