The new church building of Mao Baptist Church Kohima (MBCK) was dedicated today by Mao Baptist Churches Association executive secretary Reverend Dr K Koda here at Midland near Mezhiir Higher Secondary School.


Reverend Dr Koda unveiled the plaque of the new church building in the presence of pastors of various churches of Kohima town, MBCA pastors and church leaders, well wishers, Midland colony GBs and leaders, MBCK members and others.


During worship service, Punanamai MBC pastor Rev Dr L Kholi said every Christian must build proper foundation deeply rooted in Christ.


Appreciating the church members for building a magnificent building, Rev Dr Kholi reminded the congregations that the church must built with right plan and motive to glorify God.


Stressing the importance of Christ in individual life, he said the personal relationship with Christ is more important than church building.


He also said one must be well versed with the Bible knowledge to be strong in faith and stand firm in Him.


New church building committee chairman Ashikho Daili said the construction started in May 2010. The total expenditure of the new Church construction including manual work came to around Rs. 6.5 crore.


The fund came through free will contributions, donation including income from mass social works, sales day and special offering Sunday and others. Worship service was led by MBCK pastor Rev K Losii Mao while Rev Dr Koda released MBCK new building souvenir.
