Medo Yhokha appointed as Advisor to CM

Kohima, November 25 (MExN): Medo Yokha, Member of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) was appointed as Advisor to the Chief Minister, Nagaland, with immediate effect on November 25.

As per a DIPR report, Yhokha was appointed as Advisor by Chief Minister (CM) Neiphiu Rio on Wednesday.

“This arrangement would help utilize the vast and practical experience of the Member of Nagaland Legislative Assembly for the benefit of public at large,” the report informed.

The Advisor will render his advise on matters that are referred to them by the concerned Department for their views/suggestions before the issue is put up to the concerned Minister in charge for decision.

The Advisor will not be eligible for any pay, salary, emoluments, remuneration or any perks/advantages of any kind, from the Government of Nagaland other than what is normally admissible to them as members of Nagaland Legislative Assembly through the Assembly Secretariat, it added.

Meanwhile, Medo Yhokha expressed happiness and conveyed gratitude to the CM for the appointment.He also acknowledged the NDPP leaders led by the Party president for the support.

“I will be committed and will try to emulate and perform my responsibilities up to the expectation of the general public and leaders for the upliftment of the departments,” he said.
