Dimapur, May 24 (MExN): The Advisor for Food & Civil Supplies, LM & CP, Nagaland KT Sukhalu held a coordination meeting with the Chairman & Members of the Nagaland State Food Commission, Secretary, Director and officers of Food & Civil Supplies department at the Directorate of Food & Civil Supplies office, Dimapur on May 24.
The objective of the meeting was to strengthen the functioning of the Nagaland State Food Commission, stated a press release issued by Chuba Chang, NCS, Director Food & Civil Supplies.
During the meeting, the Advisor assured full support to address the suggestions provided by the Commission for overall improvement of its operations, including the establishment of its office in the State Capital for efficient functioning and expansion of its activities.
The Commission’s plans for District tours within the state as well as some neighbouring north eastern states were also discussed in the meeting.
Limawabang Jamir, Secretary, Food & Civil Supplies department had also urged the newly appointed Chairman & Commission Members to serve as a vital link between the Department and Beneficiaries of various Food schemes being implemented by the Department.
The Chairman & the Members of the State Food Commission affirmed their firm commitment to fulfill the Commission’s aims and objectives with their best of efforts.
