Excitement and anxiety is back. The complete package of ‘Beauty with Brains’ will once again rule the roost. Ethnic Group of Nagaland (EGoN), the official organizer for Miss Dimapur beauty pageant is back in action hunting for a beauty queen as preparations are in full swing.
Pointing towards the fulfilling journey of Miss Dimapur so far, president EGoN, Miranda Jamir feels that Miss Dimapur is one platform that can make you accomplish your dreams; “Beauty pageants have served as an open platform for beautiful girls to showcase their talent and it won’t be wrong to say that millions of people have actually come forward and benefited from it.”
Highlights for Miss Dimapur 2017 event
This year, 18 beauties will be vying for the Miss Dimapur crown, the grant finale to be held on October 27, 4:00 pm at IMC Hall. It may be mentioned here that after thorough deliberation and screening by the Ethnic Group of Nagaland (EGoN), 18 girls have been shortlisted as finalist to compete for the crown of Miss Dimapur 2017.
On October 23, AIDA beautician trainer, Talichila will train the contestants on hair and beauty at Don Bosco tech AIDA followed by a seminar on clean election with Roland Mery, AEO Dimapur as the resource person.
October 24 will witness fun activities like fitness competition to be hosted by Nagaland Armed Police Training Center (NAPTC), Chümoukedima. Chekrovolu Swuro, the first among females and the second Olympian from Nagaland will also interact and give crash course lesson on Archery to the contestants which will be followed by the official photo shoot for Miss Dimapur 2017. Further, the girls will be given lessons on soft skills, ethics, grooming session and catwalk by various trainers on October 25 and 26.
Miss Dimapur 2017 Grand Finale
Apart from the crowning of Miss Dimapur 2017, 1st runner up and 2nd runner up, the Miss Dimapur 2017 pageant will also witness the crowning of various sub-titles such as: Miss Photogenic, Miss Catwalk, Miss Congeniality, Style Icon 2017, EGoN Fitness Icon, EGoN Fresh Face, Best Ethnic Wear, Miss Body Beautiful and Miss Beautiful Skin.
According to the organisers, Miss Dimapur beauty pageant also initiates to promote the rich cultural diversity, and to provide an accessible platform for the younger generation to showcase their talents through sports, music, dance, modeling, and more. Upcoming artist like Naro Sangtam-Voice of Nagaland (2015) finalist, Muno Shiu, a young upcoming solo artist from Dimapur, Pedro’s Dance Studio- specialized in classical Jazz, contemporary hip hop, etc will be performing at the finale.
Along with the Miss Dimapur crowning ceremony, EGoN has therefore promised an entertaining finale to enthrall the audience of Miss Dimapur 2017.
