Observing that the potholes in the steep road stretch leading down to Naga Hospital Authority, Kohima (NHAK) from Box cutting road has been causing inconvenience to the public especially motor vehicles, a repairing was done voluntarily by Kohima town MLA Dr Tseilhoutuo Rhütso last week.

One of his officials informed that “there many big potholes where people experience bad jerking while coming up that road so we decided to repair it on Saturday.”

Coming as a great relief for the public, the work was soon welcomed with praises.

The official relayed the message that there are small works around our community which can be taken up without depending on the government. “Why always depend on government for like small work which can be done with some collective effort from individuals from the particular area,” he said.

The example is also a bid to spread awareness on cleanliness and cleaning your own surrounding without expecting any fund from government. “It’s everyone's responsibility to keep the Kohima town clean,” the official added.

He further informed that the work was done by the MLA without any money or funds from the government.
