MOKOKCHUNG, OCTOBER 25 (MExN): The District Childline Advisory Board (DCAB) held a meeting on October 25 at the ADC Planning Conference Hall, Mokokchung under the chairmanship of Limawabang Jamir, Deputy Commissioner and Chairman of Mokokchung District Childline Advisory Board (CAB).

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Commissioner and other heads of department. The Deputy Commissioner in his opening remarks highlighted the purpose of the meeting to discuss the functioning of CHILDLINE in the district.

A power presentation was delivered by Subonenba Longkumer, Nodal Director, wherein he briefed on CHILDLINE 1098 Nagaland, its actions, intervention model, child protection activities and notable achievements and exercises of the CHILDLINE Nagaland till date. He also encouraged all the officials and stakeholders to support CHILDLINE Mokokchung and its activities.

Yanger, Project Officer, Department of Labour, also shared his concerns and experiences in relation to child labour and also encouraged other line departments to support CHILDLINE and coordinate with the team.

The Deputy Commissioner assured to provide assistance, cooperation and support to CHILDLINE Mokokchung. Other agendas discussed in the meeting included, to conduct a one day training and orientation program with the police, CWC, JJB and other stakeholders on POCSO Act & Juvenile Justice Act, and to allocate a space for wall painting as part of CHILDLINE visibility program in all public places and offices.
