MON, OCTOBER 22 (MExN): The Mon District Childline Advisory Board meeting was held on October 22 at the DC’s conference hall, Mon under the chairmanship of DC Mon, Thavaseelan K, IAS, who is also the Chairman of the Mon District Childline Advisory Board (CAB).
The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Commissioner followed by releasing of Nagaland CHIDLINE State Report 2020- 2021. The board meeting had an open discussion pertaining to the functioning of CHILDLINE in the district.
A presentation was delivered by Subonenba Longkumer, Nodal Director wherein he briefed on CHILDLINE 1098 Nagaland, its actions, intervention model, child protection activities and notable achievements and exercise of the CHILDLINE Nagaland till date.
He further encouraged all the officials and stakeholders to support CHILDLINE Mon and its activities.
Other agendas discussed in the meeting included forming a committee to monitor and minimize child trafficking in the district, to conduct a one day program with the police and other stakeholder on POCSO Act & Juvenile Justice Act, and to allocate a child friendly room in the police station.
