Kohima, March 21 (MExN): On the occasion of International Day of Forests on March 21, the ‘Naga Terriers’ (164 Inf Bn (TA) NAGA) under the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) organized a trekking event to Dzükou Valley.
The trek was organized with the pledge to protect forests and spread awareness about Swachh Bharat among people, a press release from the HQ IGAR (N) informed on Sunday.
In line with the pledge, the team collected plastic waste and garbage from the surrounding area of Dzükou valley.
The event was undertaken by 2 Officers, 5 Junior Commissioned Officers and 41 other ranks of 164 (TA) NAGA along with volunteers from Southern Angami Youth Organization (SAYO).
