Kohima, September 28 (MExN): The Brillante Piano Festival, now in its fourth edition, is a captivating celebration of music, bringing together artists from local, national, and international realms. This vibrant festival is a fusion of exquisite piano music, creative expressions, and innovation, providing a remarkable platform for music enthusiasts to immerse themselves in multi-genre performances, pedagogy, competitions, and interactive sessions, all within a single venue.
Anticipate an exciting street performance on September 28 at 4:00 pm, beneath Beat Devices, Jail Colony, setting the stage for the upcoming Brillante Piano Festival. Artists like Dr Adam J Greig, Gerardo Sanchez Lara, Moasanen Jamir, Jaisheej Paul, Palak Chauhan, TK Lemur, Neitsono Peseyie, Ato Rhakho, and more will grace this event.
This street performance serves as a prelude to the main event, the fourth edition of BRILLANTE! which will take place from September 29 to October 1 at the Capital Cultural Hall in Kohima.
During the festival’s three days, attendees will witness a plethora of activities. The main hall will host budding pianists in a musical showdown, where experienced judges will meticulously evaluate their performances, potentially birthing future musical stars.
Concurrently, workshop spaces will organise hands-on workshops, masterclasses, and captivating art installations in the air spaces, enhancing musical skills and creating an immersive experience. As the sun sets, the main hall will transform into a grand stage, showcasing world-class musicians whose concerts will undoubtedly mesmerize the audience.
On Day 1 (September 29): The festival will be graced by various artists from both the state and across the globe, including performances by Dr. Adam. J. Grieg, Gerardo S. Lara, Anuvrat Chowdhary, Lino K. Awomi & SAM Choir, Kewhira String Quartet, Warrior Dancers from St. Joseph’s College and Jatziri & Almudena-Global Music Institute.
Day 2 (September 30): Promises another round of phenomenal performances, featuring artists like Sahil Vasudeva, Ritam Changkakoti, Aki Spadaro, Akhrieze Lhoushe, Jatziri & Almudena-Global Music Institute, Kevin Savino & Joey Woch.
On Day 3 (October 1): The festival will witness outstanding performances from the Paddy Trio, Kekhrie Ringa, Nise Meruno, Hope Academy Choir, Dr Adam J. Grieg, Ritam Changkakoti, and Joi Barua.
