DIMAPUR, MARCH 9 (MExN): The Nagaland State Cabinet today announced the portfolios for its Cabinet Ministers and Advisors.
Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio took over charge of the Finance, Personnel &Administrative Reforms portfolios; along with all other portfolios not allotted to any Minister. Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister TR Zeliang was allotted the Planning and Transformation and National Highways portfolio while the other Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton took charge of Home and Border Affairs.
Along with the 9 Cabinet Ministers, a total of 24 Advisors were also appointed, as per a notification issued by the Cabinet Secretariat (Cabinet Cell). The NDPP took the lion’s share with 24 Ministerial and Advisory berths, while its ally the BJP took charge of 12.
The NDPP had a total of 7 Cabinet Ministers and 17 Advisors while the BJP were allotted 5 Cabinet Minister and 7 Advisors.
