Nagaland gets Rs 1700 cr worth projects

Dimapur, MARCH 9 (MExN): Prime Minister Narinder Modi virtually inaugurated completed projects and laid foundation stone of new projects of NE States, including Nagaland under centrally sponsored schemes from Arunachal Pradesh on March 9.

According to a PIB report, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of several development projects worth more than Rs 1700 crores in Nagaland.  The important projects whose foundation stones were laid include multiple road projects; construction of Unity Mall in District Chumoukedima; and upgradation of capacity transformation at 132kv sub-station Nagarjan, Dimapur. 

The Prime Minister inaugurated the project for the upgradation of road from Chendang Saddle to Noklak (Phase-1) and several other road projects including Kohima-Jessami Road, widening of important roads in Wokha and Zunheboto districts. The Prime Minister also inaugurated a total of 7 completed projects.

The virtual launching of the Viksit Bharat - Viksit Nagaland was live-screened by the NIC in the presence of Dy CM Y Patton,  Minister Road and Bridges G Kaito Aye, Minster for Power, Parliamentary Affairs KG Kenye, Chief Secretary J Alam, AHoDs and HoDs of the concerned department and several state government officials.
