Acharya extends Id greetings Kohima, September 11 (MExN): Governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya has extended heartiest greetings and best wishes to all the Muslims living in Nagaland and in the country on the occasion of Id-Ul-Zuha, which is celebrated with special prayers, greetings and gifts. “May this occasion, irrespective of caste and creed, bring unity and communal harmony amongst the different communities in the State,” Acharya wished in a message. “May this joyous day delight everyone and bring peace prosperity to our land.”   Territorial Army build community hall at Sakshi Kohima, September 11 (MExN): 164 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) (Home & Hearth) NAGA has constructed a community hall at Sakshi NAP, Tuensang. The same was constructed as part of the ongoing Military Civic Action programme under Operation Sadbhavana, under the aegis of HQ 3 Corps, informed a press release from Col C Konwer, PRO (Defence). During the inauguration ceremony, Village Council Chairman acknowledged the importance of community hall for the development of the village and expressed appreciation for the effort  taken by 164 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) (Home & Hearth) NAGA in spreading welfare projects, the release said. The presentation ceremony was attended by Village Management Committee, village elders, Gaon Buras, Chairman and unit officers, JCOs & OR of 164 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army) (Home & Hearth) NAGA.   DNSU informs Dimapur, September 11 (MExN): The office of the Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) has informed all the educational/ professional institutions, both government and private, within its jurisdiction to collect the Students’ Statistical Census Report from the DNSU office from September 12 to 16. The same is to be collected from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.   DLSU general conference held Dimapur, September 11 (MExN): Dimapur Lotha Students’ Union (DLSU) held its 32nd general conference cum 2nd Academic Excellence Award ceremony on August 25 at Lotha Hoho Ki in Dimapur. DLSU also elected its office bearers for 2016-2018 with B Mhajan Tsopoe as the president.
