Parliamentary committee on 
Naga Pol Issue calls meeting 

Kohima, July 29 (MExN): The parliamentary committee on Naga political issue will hold a meeting on August 3 at 2:00 PM at Nagaland Legislative Assembly Conference Hall, Kohima. Informing this, Neiba Kronu, Member Secretary Parliamentary Committee on Naga Political issue and Minister for Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs requested all the elected members of the 13th NLA and both the MPs to make it convenient to attend the said meeting positively. 

Extortionist arrested in Dimapur 

Dimapur, July 29 (MExN): The Dimapur Police arrested two persons namely Tokugha (55) Leacy NSCN (IM) and Tokivi Aye (30) NSCN (K-Niki) in two separate cases on charges of extortion from the business establishments/truck drivers in Diphupar/Padumpukhuri area. The arrests were made on July 22 and 27. According to Addl Dy Commissioner of Police (Crime) & PRO, Dimapur, in this connection separate cases has been registered in Diphupar and East Police Station respectively. 

MBCK celebrates 22nd Foundation Day 

Kohima, July 29 (MExN): The commemoration of Maram Baptist Church Kohima (MBCK) 22nd Foundation Day was hosted by Women Department, MBCK with Rev Zotuo Kiewhuo, Senior Pastor Koinonia Baptist Church and Principal Kohima Bible College as speaker in the church premises on July 25.  Chairing the programme MBCK senior pastor and founder, Jacob stated that he started the church in the year 1999 with the blessing of God from Rev Zotuo. “It could continue and stand till today with members growing by the grace of God and from the support of believers from every tribe,” he stated. Pastor Jacob said that he was “burdened by seeing the people around Kohima who are not in the walk of God. It was God’s call for him not to wait for others to save soul but to start the fellowship after fasting and prayer.”  The church now also has a prayer centre which is open to all, MBCK stated in a press release. 

Wokha COVID-19: Special vaccination, 
random testing drive from Aug 4-10

Wokha, July 29 (MExN): Wokha District, Deputy Commissioner & Chairman of DTF for COVID-19, Wokha, Orenthung Lotha has informed all the Block Task Force for COVID-19 to conduct special vaccination and random testing drive under their respective blocks starting from August 4 to 10. Further, he informed that detailed report of every individual tested or vaccinated are to be submitted to District Surveillance Officer for Sample Report Format generation. All rapid antigen test kits and vaccination vials supplied for the testing drive have to be accounted and report has to be submitted to the DTF for COVID-19. The respective Block-Task Force has been requested to coordinate with the concerned Medical Officer forsmooth conduct of the exercise.

Gurushala to conduct G-NAT free of cost from Sept 28-30

Kohima, July 29 (MExN): Principal Director, Directorate of School Education, Shanavas C, IAS, has notified that Gurushala will be conducting a National Aptitude Test (G-NAT) free of cost for students of classes 6-10 from September 28 to 30. The test focuses on identifying a child's key strengths, interests, knowledge and aptitude so as to assist them in preparing for competitive examinations in the future. Heads of institutions of all schools (both Government and private) functioning within the State of Nagaland have been advised to encourage students of classes 6 to 10 to register for the  G-NAT at the link given below and make use of the opportunity.
