Dimapur, August 16 (MExN): Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland, Y Patton inaugurated Nagaland Police ‘Cyber Crime Prevention against Women & Children’ (CCPWC) lab cum training center at PTS, Police Complex, Chümoukedima, Nagaland on August 15.


A DIPR report stated that in his address, Patton said that with the inauguration of CCPWC, Nagaland police has added another feather in its cap in the field of scientific aid to investigation. Stating women and children as the most vulnerable sections of the society, Patton mentioned that technology is being  misused by criminals and that  cyber crimes has emerged as major challenges for the law enforcement agencies.  With the inauguration of CCPWC, Patton was optimistic that police officials will be trained to assist the victims of cyber crimes. 


On the occasion Patton, expressed serious concern over the alleged land encroachment that is taking place in the police training center Chümoukedima and cautioned that serious action would be initiated against the defaulters. Land encroachment will not be tolerated at all he said and asked the officer in charge to submit the original documents and mapping of the acquired land.


Deputy Chief Minister was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Dimapur, Kevekha Kevin Zehol, ADGP (L&O) Renchamo P. Kikon, IGP (CID) Zekotso Mero, Principal, PTS Rothiho Tetseo, DIG (Trg & Bdr) Aotemsu and Others.


Demonstration of CCPWC lab facilities was done by Dy, SP Cyber Forensic Lab, Ninoto I. Zhimomi. Welcome address was delivered by IGP (CID) Zekotso Mero,IPS. Short speech was delivered by ADGP (L&O) Renchamo P. Kikon, IPS. Project report was given by Ramietech solutions, system integration.
