Kekhrievor Kevichüsa, IPoS, Commissioner & Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Government of Nagaland receives recognition during result declaration and felicitation ceremony for the National Startup Awards 2023.

Kohima, January 16 (MExN): As part of the National Startup Day in Delhi, the Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) organised the result declaration and felicitation ceremony for the National Startup Awards 2023 and 4th edition of the States' Startup Ranking Framework, integral components of the Startup India initiative.
Nagaland secured the honour in the Aspiring State Category, stated a press release issued by the YouthNet office. During the ceremony, Kekhrievor Kevichüsa, IPoS, Commissioner & Secretary, Industries and Commerce, Government of Nagaland, received recognition for his pivotal role in establishing the first incubation centre for Person With Disabilities and supporting incubators in the robotics sector.
Besides providing specialised support for women entrepreneurs through tailored programmes, Keneirienuo K Theunuo, Deputy Director, Industries and Commerce, Team Leader, State Startup Team is awarded for her effort in being instrumental in supporting the incubators through programs specifically designed for women startups and seed funding to Incubation Centres.

Meanwhile, Startup Nagaland, Department of Industries and Commerce marked the National Startup Day 2024 hosted a roundtable discussion on ‘How to bring about Innovative Ideas in the State’ at the Innovation & Incubation Space, Capital Convention Center Kohima.
The event brought together state incubators, startups, entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and various stakeholders, highlighting Nagaland's commitment to fostering a thriving startup ecosystem, YouthNet said in a press release.
Earlier the roundtable discussion was presided over by Ikheshe Kahoto, Inspector of Industries & Commerce, who emphasised the crucial role of incubators and collaboration in driving innovation. Kahoto commended the efforts of incubators in Nagaland, highlighting the significance of the Startup Nagaland Policy 2019 in promoting and fostering a robust startup culture in the state.
The event witnessed participation from all five incubators in the state, namely YouthNet Incubation Centre, NAGABOTS, Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre, EduCentre School of Business, and National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology with Ernst & Young contributing valuable insights.
