DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 6 (MExN): The 42nd annual meet of Niuland Area Sports Association (NASA) commenced today at S. Vihuto village. MLA Jacob Zhimomi was the chief guest at the inaugural function. As per a press release, the week-long event will feature the 2nd Hovishe Memorial Football Trophy, 1st Henito Chishi Volleyball Trophy (Men) and 3rd Nitovi Memorial Badminton Trophy. The release stated that Zhimomi in his address emphasised the role of sports in the society. “It is not only played to win trophies but it's played to bring the people together in peace and brotherhood, which is very essential for a progressive society.” While stating that sports could well be a paying form of employment, he encouraged the participants to dream and pursue to become professionals sportspersons.
