The NCA’s Apex Council.
KOHIMA, JULY 3 (MExN): The Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) convened its first Apex Council meeting and formal handing over and taking over ceremony for the newly elected Apex Council for the 2026–2029 tenure at the Association's conference room on July 3.
The newly elected Apex Council comprises Watinuksung Jamir as President, Khamongo Humtsoe as Vice President, Menguvilie Sakhrie as Secretary, Nikika G. Zhimomi as Joint Secretary, Ketholelie Sogotsu as Treasurer, and Vezokho Chotso as Apex Council Member. Following the meeting, the outgoing and incoming Apex Council members paid a courtesy call on Chief Minister and Chief Patron of the NCA, Dr Neiphiu Rio, as well as the Association's patrons, Abu Metha and K T Sukhalu. They expressed appreciation for their continued guidance, encouragement and support for the promotion and development of cricket in the state.
The association also acknowledged the support extended by the Board of Control for Cricket in India under the leadership of its Secretary, Devajit Saikia.
The newly elected Apex Council also visited Sebastian Zumvü, Chairman of the Sovima Village Council, to thank the village for its longstanding cooperation and support for the Association and its activities.
