NE connectivity summit provide useful platforms

  Our Correspondent Kohima | September 23   Nagaland’s chief secretary Pankaj Kumar today maintained that the North East Connectivity Summit has provided a very useful platforms for Government of India, north eastern state governments, neighboring countries and countries having interest in development of the north east region.   He said various public sector organizations came together and pool ideas and expertise to take north east connectivity to the next level. He thanked dignitaries from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Japan, Laos, Myanmar, Russia and Thailand which provided broad canvas on which north east connectivity issues have to be dealt with.   Chief Secretary said sessions on policy, international connectivity, shared energy resources and biodiversity, tourism and people to people connectivity, sub-regional economic integration, intra-regional connectivity and leveraging digital connectivity have covered North East connectivity issues in a holistic manner. He thanked Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) led by Ranjit Barathakur, chairman FICCI North East Advisory Council for holding the 4th North East Connectivity Summit in Kohima.
