NFR to operate Alipurduar Junction–Secunderabad weekly special train

Guwahati, July 6 (MExN): The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has decided to operate five trips of a summer special train between Alipurduar Jn–Secunderabad–Alipurduar in both directions to clear the extra rush of passengers travelling towards South India. 

A press release from the NFR CPRO informed that the weekly summer special train will run from July 8 to August 8. 
Train 05479 (Alipurduar Jn. - Secunderabad) will depart from Alipurduar Jn at 10:30 PM on all Fridays from July 8 till August 5 to reach Secunderabad at 4:15 PM, every Sunday.

On its returned journey, the train 05480 (Secunderabad – Alipurduar Jn) will depart from Secunderabad at 4:35 PM on all Monday from July 11 till August 8 to reach Alipurduar Jn at 10 AM, every Wednesday. 

The special train will consist of 20 coaches1 AC Three-Tier Coach, 1 AC 2-Tier-Cum-3-Tier Coach, 2 General Seating, 14 Sleeper Class coaches and 2 Second Class Seating Cum Luggage Coach.

Meanwhile, the NFR has also decided to resume the services of Katihar – Delhi Jn– Katihar Champaran Humsafar Express from July 14.

Train No. 15705 (Katihar – Delhi Jn) will leave Katihar at 7:50 AM on Monday & Thursday to reach Delhi Jn at 11:45AM on Tuesday & Friday respectively. 

From Delhi, (Train No 15706) will depart from Delhi Jn at 4:35 Pm on Tuesday & Friday from July 15 to reach Katihar at 6:20 PM on Wednesday & Saturday respectively. 

The Champaran Humsafar Express comprised of 13 coaches: 10 AC Three-Tier Coaches, 1 Pantry Car, 1 Second Luggage, Guard & Divyaang Compartment and 1 Brake, Luggage-Cum-Generator Car.
