NNC/FGN to celebrate Nagaland Independence Day

Kohima, August 1 (MExN): The Ministry of Rali Wali (Information & Publicity) of the Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has informed that the Naga National Council (NNC) and the FGN along with Angami Region will celebrate the 71st Nagaland Independence Day on August 14, 10:00 am at Chedema Peace Camp, Angami Region at the Central level. Therefore, all have been cordially invited to participate in the function.  

The Ministry through its Kilonser, Capt. (Retd) Yirei Lungleng has also urged all Regional Midan Peyus of the FGN, all presidents of the Regional Councils, Naga National Council and all heads/chairmen of the sub-regions and villages to respectively celebrate the historic day of “our” Nation. “The fellow Nagas who cannot participate in the function are also asked to offer at least a prayer on this auspicious day of our Nation,” it added in a press note.  

Meanwhile, the Ministry earnestly asked all groups, organizations and individuals to co-operate with each other and maintain peace, tranquility and brotherhood in the interest of our people and nation.
