Noklak HQ hosts first mini legal services camp

Noklak, March 5 (MExN): The Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA), in collaboration with the Tuensang District Legal Services Authority (TDLSA) and the district administration, organised the first Mini Legal Services Camp at the Noklak District Headquarters on March 5.

In his keynote address during the inaugural programme, Neiko Akami Member Secretary of NSLSA explained the objective of conducting the Mini Legal Services Camp and highlighted the various services provided by the Legal Services Authorities, including legal aid, victim compensation, and Lok Adalat.

Kumdilong Kessen Secretary of TDLSA also briefly outlined the various government departments participating in the camp and the free services offered. 

He expressed gratitude to the NSLSA Member Secretary and the Deputy Commissioner of Noklak for facilitating the camp, and also thanked the departments for extending their services to the public.

Earlier, Noklak Deputy Commissioner Noklak, P Mono Khiamniungan welcome the NSLSA Member Secretary and the TDLSA team.

He also requested the legal services authorities to organise similar programmes in the sub-divisions of the district in the near future.

The programme was followed by the formal inauguration of the Mini Legal Services Camp.

Various departments and agencies participated in the camp, including the district administration, Aadhaar enrolment centre, departments of horticulture, agriculture, fisheries and aquatic resources, food and civil supplies, social welfare, and the medical department. 

Banking and financial institutions such as the State Bank of India and Nagaland State Co-operative Bank Ltd, along with the post office and the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland, also provided services to the public during the camp, informed an NSLSA release.
