
DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 25 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN (Khango) has appealed to all Naga people and stakeholders to sincerely work toward an early resolution of the longstanding Naga National issue. The press release, issued by the MIP of the NSCN/GPRN (Khango), stated that it was "fully committed to strengthen our position and start the political talks with Government of India (GoI) to discuss the key issues impendent the Indo-Naga cause based on the historical and political rights of Nagas."
The release highlighted, "The Nagas as a Christian society under the banner of ‘Nagaland for Christ’ every National workers and leaders has to be fully committed to rectify the past mistake and enchanting a slogan forgive and forget as our common objective." It affirmed neutrality, stating that it did "not support neither Framework Agreement (FA) nor Agreed Position (AP)" but rather stood firm on "the contention of the principles and ideologies of Nagas historical perspective till the honorable and acceptable solution arrives once and for all."
The press release stated, "It is an undeniable fact that the Nagas issue is a Political issue and not a law and order problem of India that can decode by applying a policies and regulation from one side." It urged the Government of India to "be sincerely recognized the Naga political issue that cannot be resolve without taking onboard all the stakeholders."
The NSCN/GPRN (Khango) also called on the Government of Nagaland to act impartially, playing a vital role as a facilitator in resolving the Naga political issue. The release noted, It expressed concern over the "very unfortunate situation faced by Nagas generation today," referencing divisions such as "tribalism and factionalism." It commended efforts of the Naga Churches, CSOs, pioneers, and leaders, stating, "The blood, sweat and tears of every Nagas to defend our political rights cannot be swayed away for the interest of certain group of community."
Further, it said, "The political rights of the Nagas are sovereign nation since time immoral that cannot be compromise and judgmental on the distinctive mode of certain organization or group of people." It pledged, "The NSCN/GPRN will now and never betray the mandate of Naga people legitimacy on the pretext of peace talk."
The NSCN/GPRN (Khango) reiterated its commitment to a comprehensive and inclusive solution, advocating for the "inclusiveness of all the Nagas onboard for the final solution that is acceptable to every Naga society." "The historical and political legacy that was inherited by our forefather on the expenses of thousand of martyrs for the Naga political rights will only be fulfilled when all the Nagas accepted the historical fact of the Nagas," it added. It highlighted the significance of their Ceasefire Agreement, entered into "as separate entity at this crucial juncture for the permanent resolution of Naga political cause."
