NSRLM handover digital IIBF certificates to 59 women SHG members in Kohima

As part of “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav” (75 years of Indian Independence), Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM) today   organised a state level celebration by  handing over Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) Digital Certificates to the Business Correspondent (BC) -Digipay Sakhi at RD Conference Hall, Kohima.

During the event, Digital IIBF certificates have been handed over to 59 women SHG members, who have passed IIBF certification in March 2021.

Joint Secretary RD & Mission Director, NSRLM, Imtimenla informed that India plans to deploy 50,000 BCs in all Gram Panchayats under "Mission One BC One GP" this September.

Nagaland has a plan to position 500 BCs by 2025.

She said there are altogether 92 women SHG members who have undergone RSETI Training at Peren and have successfully undergone IIBF Certification examination.

Out of which, 59 have passed IIBF Certification in March 2021. These 92 SHG members have received Biometric Fingerprint devices and started doing transactions in the villages.

Abeinuo Jasmine, EAC (Estd), Kohima appreciated the department of Rural Development, especially the NSRLM for giving necessary impetus to the much needed initiative.

She also appreciated the Banking institutions and all stakeholders for giving their best effort in helping the initiative.
“Without your intervention and your leadership a dream of having a financially literate population of our country and state cannot be possible,” she said.

She also said the rural population of the country and state cannot move forwards till everyone is included in all areas of development, especially in financial literacy.

Novin Basumatary, director, RSETI Peren, Lanusosang Jamir, state head, common service centre, Besü Bosco Sani, AGM, SBI Kohima main branch, Poji, district development manager, NABARD, Kohima also spoke on the occasion.
The programme was chaired by Rajuselie Lhousa, State Program Manager (FI), SMMU while vote of thanks was pronounced by Vitsizo Semu, Assistant District Program Manager, DMMU Kohima.
