KOHIMA, MAY 10 (MExN): A One day Farmers’ Training for implementation of oil seed development program for Khariff Students was conducted at Chozuba Town today under Sub Divisional Agricultural Officer, Chozuba. A press release received here stated that a total of of 46 progressive farmers from 23 villages attended the training. Agriculture Officer, Sarhünyi Dukru deliberated on the trails and demonstration of the program while Ronchamo Kikon, Agriculture Officer dwelt on the cultivation aspect of soyabean and sesamun. SDAO Chozuba, Rudupra Keyho summed up the training. It also said that the training programme was followed by distribution of seeds including maize, sesamun, soyabeans, bio-fertilizers and bio-pesticides respectively.
Training on silk worm rearing conducted
Dimapur, May 10 (MEXN): Training on silk worm rearing technology and demonstration of Silk Worm food plants was organized by ATMA, Peren Block at Ngwalwa Town Hall on May 9. The programme was chaired by Dr. Rokozo Dolie, Convenor, ATMA, Peren Block and in the Technical session, the resource persons were Zachivelu, DSO (Sericulture)Peren who spoke on the “Scope of Sericulture in Rural Areas” and P. Toso, ASO (Seri) Jalukie dwelt on the “ Silk Worm rearing Technology” and “Demonstration on Silk Worm food Plants”. In the training around 20 beneficiaries from 4 villages attended the programme. The programme ended with the pronouncement of vote of thanks by Dietholhou, BTT Manager, ATMA Peren Block.
