DIMAPUR, FEBRUARY 12 (MExN): The Pathso Area GB's Union has directed all political parties to adhere to the Election Model Code of Conduct (MCC) and KTC's directive for peaceful conduct of election under its jurisdiction in the ensuing 14th NLA election.
A press release from the union said that all political parties or agents must refrain from making hate speech; free and fair movement of all political parties must be ensured; and incitement of violence and physical abuse must be restrained.
Any political parties violating these guidelines under Pathso range shall be called for explanation by the union, it cautioned.
Meanwhile, on reports of restriction of movement for election campaign within Pathso area for a certain political party, the Pathso Area GB'S Union informed that it conducted a prompt investigation on February 11 and 12 within its jurisdiction and “found that no such restriction has been made by any individual or political party.”
“Therefore, for the information of all concerned and to instill confidence to the general public, the Pathso Area GB'S Union dismissed the speculation as false and a rumor without having any base,” it said.
