Petrol price in Nagaland State’s capital Kohima inched closer to Rs 94 per litre (/Ltr) with the steepest hike of 39 paisa on February 20.

With the weekend rise of 38 paisa, diesel was also retailing at Rs 84.65/Ltr on Saturday in Kohima.

Elsewhere, petrol was costliest in Tuensang at Rs 96/Ltr and its premium version hovering nearly at Rs 99.07/Ltr in the district. 

Kiphire followed next with Rs 95.91/Ltr and Rs 86.46/Ltr for petrol and diesel respectively, according to information on IndianOil One App.

In Nagaland, it was cheapest in commercial capital Dimapur with the going rate for petrol at Rs 93.01/Ltr and Rs. 83.55/Ltr

In the last 12 days (since February 9), the price has gone up by Rs 3.63/ltr for petrol while the diesel rate has risen by Rs 3.84/Ltr, IANS news agency reported on Saturday. 

Across the country as well the surge in fuel prices ranged from 35-40 paisa per litre depending on the level of local taxes on the two petroleum products, it added.

Kohima fuel prices are second highest among the North East States’ capital, after Manipur’s Imphal at Rs 94.37/ltr for petrol and Rs 84.50/ltr for diesel.

It was cheapest in Arunachal Pradesh with petrol retailing at Rs 84.15/ltr and diesel at Rs 78.28/ltr in Itanagar. (See table)
