Phek, June 12 (MExN): MLA Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, Advisor, Science & Technology Department, Nagaland, inaugurated the Phek village community cemetery at Kalozi, Phek on June 12.

Addressing the gathering, Azo said that the project, which was a long cherished dreams of the village, has been fulfilled because of the unity and oneness of the village. He called for ensuring clean and proper maintenance of the cemetery.

In his speech, Phek Village Council Chairman Thupuve Vero appreciated Azo for his invaluable contribution towards the welfare and overall development of the village, including helping the poor and needy people. Vero announced that the Phek Village Council along with its constituents Phek Basa, Chosaba and Surhoba will “always stand by Azo’s leadership, irrespective of the party colour.”

Earlier, Rev Vesito Venuh, pastor Phek Village Baptist Church pronounced dedicatory prayer. The programme was led by Veshe Chizo while financial report was given by Veta Soho.

This Phek village Community cemetery was constructed and initiated by MLA Azo through Phek Village Council and various other social organizations.
