Addressing the gathering, Ozukum shared that the dedication and guidance of his teachers had played an important role in his journey to becoming an NCS officer.

He described teachers as those who “bring light into the lives of students” by moulding their character, shaping their abilities and imparting valuable skills.

He urged students to uphold the values of respect, discipline, humility and hard work, stressing that these qualities are essential for achieving success in life.

He also encouraged students to maintain proper dress and conduct, stating that these reflect a student’s discipline and respect for others.

He further encouraged students to make the best use of the educational opportunities available to them, noting that government school teachers are highly qualified and capable of providing quality education and guidance.
