Route to Roots poster competition held

Dimapur, February 15 (MExN): The ‘Route to Roots poster competition’ an all India event for school students of classes 6 to 9 organized by the Heritage Education and Communication Service (HECS) Division of INTACH aimed in the global mission at promoting the spirit of appreciation, exploration and cultural education was held by INTACH Nagaland Chapter on February 15, at the Circuit House Dimapur.  

Altogether 63 students from the Delhi Public School, Christina Memorial Hr. Sec, Bethesda Hr. Sec, St. Mary Hr. Sec, The Maple Tree School, and Christian Hr. Sec participated in the competition. Each student using a medium of their choice sketched or painted one unique aspect of their family, community, and heritage accompanied with a short write-up on the subject matter.  

Sentila T. Yanger, State Convener, INTACH Nagaland Chapter in a press release stated that The all India competition will throw up 100 Regional Winners and 10 National Winners will get to go on a trip to New Delhi and receive their prizes. Trophies will be awarded to all regional and national winners and certificates to all the participants. “The Chapter is hopeful a winner will emerge from today’s competition,” she added.
