Strange as man claims encountering UFO

Imphal | June 21 : A resident of Moirang in Manipur reportedly fainted for sometime after he saw what he claimed to be a fast spinning “unidentified flying object” (UFO) across the western horizon from his farm near the famous Loktak Lake.
The incident was reported briefly in a local newspaper but was largely ignored. Newmai News Network went today to enquire if there was any truth in the claim. Apart from noting the narrative of the beholder, photo evidence has also been obtained from him.
According to Kumam Koiremba, a resident of Moirang Ngangkha Lawai about 40 km from Imphal, the incident took place at around 3:21 pm on June 15, 2011. He claimed that on the day he witnessed an “unidentified flying object” descending from above the rain-bearing gray clouds across Salengthel hill.
Taken by surprise at the unusual sight, he quickly began capturing the abnormal event with his phone camera, he said.
Within fraction of a second, the fast spinning object began emitting a powerful and blinding light, also shacking the surrounding by the ensuing wind, he added.
“As I was recording the spinning object in complete aghast, in about 2-3 seconds the object, the size of about 2-3 feet in diameter began approaching towards me. With fire-like disc around it, the object swivel towards northwest sky and disappeared mysteriously after discharging electrically charged beam of lights that immobile and rendered me unconscious instantly,” he narrated in complete disbelief.
After some seconds he regained his consciousness but the object was no more in sight.
Koiremba’s brother said after regaining his consciousness, the victim said he felt as though he was electrocuted and that electric current was passing through all over his body.
Later at dinner, which was about a gap of 3 hours from the time of the sighting of the unusual object, he began vomiting and the sensation in his body of being electrically charged recurred, he said, adding, he thereafter collapsed and felt sub-conscious for the most part of the rest of the night.
The same night, his family brought him to Bishnupur district hospital, several kilometers away from Moirang, where the doctor administered dextroid drip and checked his blood pressure. As his situation did not improve, the doctors advised that he be moved to Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Imphal.
Early morning at about 2:13 am on June 16, he was admitted to RIMS hospital where several tests like blood examination and ECG were conducted, the results of which were reportedly normal, but electrical sensation on his body persisted.
Koiremba said he regained his full consciousness at about 10 am on June 16 but refused to eat or drink anything except ORS. He was later referred by doctors to psychiatrist department of the same hospital where he was again declared normal. The doctors at RIMS had therefore discharged him for rest at home.
The odd sensation of electricity passing through the body has been recurring ever since the incident, he said, and he has also fainted several times since then. He also said that he has grown weak and unable to strain his body even for normal farm works.
Interestingly, Kumam Koiremba had been a body builder and had won several state and national championship during 2001-02.
