Closure of educational institutions resulting from the spread of the novel coronavirus have prompted two mathematics enthusiasts from Mokokchung to create a YouTube channel to upload free video tutorials for school students of Nagaland under the Nagaland Board of School Education.
With the focus on students from Classes 9 to 12, the ‘Teach Nagaland’ channel currently has 27 free video tutorials for mathematical problems.
While the two mathematicians chose to remain anonymous, the description on the channel read “If you want us to upload video tutorials for any mathematical problems (Class 9-12) under NBSE syllabus, you can drop in the comments below or simply mail us at technagaland@gmail.com. We will try to upload the solutions as soon as possible.”
“Please do your bit for the country by practicing the habit of 'Social Distancing' at a time like this and spread awareness about the novel corona virus (COVID-19),” it also advised YouTubers.
Also continue to use your free time judiciously by developing the habit of reading, doing something productive and also don't forget to have a meaningful time with family members, the duo wrote on the channel’s description.
