KOHIMA, MARCH 1 (MExN): Tovihoto Ayemi, who defeated former chief minister and Congress veteran, K.L. Chishi from 1 Dimapur I A/C in the February 23 polls has appealed for support and cooperation of the people so that his commitments made to them would be fulfilled.
Beaming with success, the young NPF MLA thanked the voters for having faith in him, adding, “This is not my victory alone but a victory of all those who have believed in my crusade to create new opportunities and usher in positive changes in Dimapur.”
Addressing media persons in Kohima on Friday, Tovihoto assured to tirelessly work towards fulfilling the commitment given to the people of Dimapur. He said his concern and priority are not limited only within Dimapur but extend to entire Nagaland and the Naga people. He appealed the people, NGOs, Churches, government machineries and all communities to extend their undying support and co-operation towards his effort to work for the welfare of the society. Tovihoto also said he could work more effectively when placed in a feasible position in the new government.
As a public servant, Tovihoto said, he was open to all suggestions and opinions on making improvements wherever necessary. He appealed for concerted effort of everyone to take Nagaland to greater heights.
