Extending solidarity with those affected by the recent landslide in Mon district, the Trojans’ Club Zunheboto contributed Rs 25,000 as relief assistance through the Konyak Union, Mon District, on July 22.
In a letter addressed to the Konyak Union president, the club expressed sorrow over the devastation caused by the landslide and conveyed solidarity with families who had lost loved ones, homes and livelihoods.
“As a token of our love and solidarity, we are contributing Rs 25,000 as a relief fund. Though this amount cannot replace what has been lost, we hope it will provide some support during this difficult time,” the club stated.
The club requested that the contribution be utilised for emergency relief, temporary shelter, medical assistance and other immediate needs of affected families.
Trojans’ Club President Hokato Yeptho said the club was established in 2017 by a group of friends with the motto “Dream Beyond Horizon.” While its resources were limited, he said members came together to contribute whatever they could to support those in need.
The club also conveyed its sympathies and solidarity to the affected families and expressed support for the people of Mon as they recover from the disaster.
