Ungma Village steps into computer education era

Mokokchung, July 17 (MExN): Col Deepak Dadhwal Commandant of the 30th Assam Rifles stationed at Mokokchung inaugurated a computer centre at Ungma Village in the presence of village council members, village development members and elders.

This computer centre starting to impart training to the interested villagers will be provided at a subsidized rate and the five computer set installed in this centre is being donated by the 30th Assam Rifles and therefore is named “Friends of the Hill Computer Centre” established by 30 Assam Rifles.

Speaking on the occasion, Commandant 30th Assam Rifles said “it is an opportunity for every one to use it and to update on the latest information and knowledge”. He also assured every possible help in the coming days too.

In the function, the Village council Chairman Chungpongwati Jamir thanked the contributors on behalf of the Ungma villagers to the Commandant and the Assam Rifles for assisting the village in the opening of the computer centre which will be the first village to have such centre in the whole of Mokokchung district. He also expressed appreciation at the construction of  a much-needed water reservoir tank at the village.
