Venuzo Vadeo of Porba village was crowned champion of the 26th Secheku Wrestling Association (SWA) meet held at Pholami village. He won a cash prize of Rs. 80,000.
Niekhozo Keroh of Gidemi village finished in second place winning a cash prize of Rs.60,000. Hutave Sakhamo of Porba village finished third to win Rs.40,000. Fourth position winner Khruto Medeo of Pholami village was awarded Rs. 20,000. Altogether, 56 wrestlers vied for the championship.
The top four wrestlers along with eight others will represent SWA at the forthcoming Chakhesang Wrestling Association meet at Chetheba from February 8 to 9.
Earlier, MLA Deo Nukhu and Vengota Nakro, retired Project Director Soil and Water Conservation graced the meet as chief guest and guest of honour respectively.
