Vistadome tourist train to run daily in Dooars area

Maligaon, November 18 (MExN): To meet the demand of tourists visiting the Dooars area in West Bengal, Vistadome Tourist Train between New Jalpaiguri and Alipurduar junction will run every day from November 22. 

The Vistadome Tourist Special (05777/05778) train service was available for three days a week so far.  The NF Railway has decided to run the train daily instead of three days a week with revised composition and add one more Vistadome coach to it. The train will run with revised number and nomenclature as 15777/15778 Vistadome Tourist Express.

The New Jalpaiguri – Alipurduar junction – New Jalpaiguri Vistadome Tourist Express departs from New Jalpaiguri at 07-20 hours in the morning and reaches Alipurduar junction at 13-00 hours in the afternoon. In return direction, train departs from Alipurduar junction at 14-00 hours in the afternoon to reach New Jalpaiguri at 19-00 hours in the evening. The train provides stoppages at Siliguri Junction, Sivok, New Mal Junction, Chalsa, Madarihat, Hasimara and Raja Bhatkhawa stations. The train will have two Vistadome coaches, two AC chair cars, two general chair cars and two brake, luggage cum generator cars, a total eight coaches from November 22.
