Tribalism:
• Tribalism followed very closely by corruption. Tribes are competing with each other in terms of corruption to be more richer than the other. Why tribalism is the biggest challenge for the present Naga society? Go to any office, if the minister or advisor, or the director is from a particular tribe, then the department will belong to that tribe. The other tribes won't get anything or any benefit. The government is promoting tribalism in terms of giving preference and promotion to their own tribes first in office. Our Naga society revolves around Government job, government contract and Church only. Any tribe having an upper hand on those mentioned above will enjoys the rich benefits and thus corruption is initiated. Tribalism is the main cause of corruption, unemployment and other social ills of the society. We have the various tribal organisations formed only to lobby for tribal welfare and not for cultural promotion. Tenyimia org, ENPO, CNTC have been formed maybe for positive impact but only to be hijacked to speak on behalf of own tribe first.
• Tribalism- the others are byproduct of it!
• All these vices are challenges for our current Naga society. I feel that corruption and unemployment can be solved through honest leaders and good governance. But in the case of tribalism it is different because the common layperson is also responsible for much of the existing tribalism. Even the formation of districts along tribal lines is tribalism. We should know that tribalism is one of the forms of divide and rule.
• Tribalism, the hatred toward one particular leader, and the motive to degrade one another on the behest of influences from other States people is the reason Nagaland is breaking into pieces.
• The first is the mother of the three
• In hierarchy, tribalism tops the list, then comes corruption and unemployment. Tribalism is deep rooted, and unless cleansed and transformed by Christ's blood, there's no hope. In Christ, there's no Jews or Gentiles. The Indian government pumped in money to play the divide & rule policy employed by its masters pre-independence. And the heart of Nagas was diverted towards mamon, leaving aside its love for God & the passion for an independent land. As our small world became corrupted, young and qualified people did not get their dues. Many 'ghost' employees (appointed by 'public' leaders) started to work for the government in different departments, which is still prevalent today. Unless rectified, there might be a huge problem in future, like the streets in some cities around the world.
• Tribalism, hands down. It encourages corruption and affects fair employment opportunity to a great extent.
• Tribalism the root cost of everything.
• All the above. But most importantly we have lost unity due to tribalism so i think if we revoke tribalism we can deal with the other matters one way or the other.
• Obviously tribalism... And I think this is the biggest issue that we are facing now.... Corruption is no less by the way.
• Tribalism is the cause of all nepotism, corruption, unemployment and explosion of so many associations and unions etc
Unemployment:
• There is not enough thought given to generating employment opportunities for the young people. It's not that they are not willing to work. We see most of the young people involved in sales but obviously they can do better if given the chance.
• Unemployment as the state lack avenues to productively engage its citizens. Additionally, citizen’s skill sets are inadequate to market demands. Unemployment is also an offshoot of corruption and categorically tribalist practices.
Corruption:
• Corruption has become a way of life in Nagaland. It is the root of all evil.
• Corruptions is main, tribalism pose threats the unity among Nagas
• Corruption of course, the rest are the by product of it.
• Corruption is the mother of all.
• Obviously corruption. Corruption is the beginning of all the other evil root
• Politicians Cronies get the work, projects are incomplete, public is silent as they too are part of this system.
• Due to lack of harsh law to dealt with.
• Corruption is the most reason that leads us to tribalism today. Many Church leaders, politicians, bureaucrats, NPGs act like messiah when they come to worship God but none can go to heaven according to what bible talked about. We have received thousands of crore from the central government to run the affairs of our state but look at the mess they (so called leaders) created havoc/mismanagement and it is in shamble state today. Don't even have enough fund/budget to pay salaries for government servants etc etc. And now they are talking about development, entrepreneurial, industrial and globalizations... Alas...!!! Wish if we are true Christian..!
• Corruption in every section of the society
• Corruption beats all, money talks, money walks. That is how cheap we Nagas have become. If it is mended, tribalism, unemployment and development everything will come naturally to the correct place.
• Corruption... The root cause of all the other problems we are facing.
• Nagas cannot live without easy money
Others:
• That is a very stand up question now a days in our Nagaland, of we don't get a job after all those sleepless night of study and after graduation when we go out to find a job and when we don't get it we say it's corruption, there is a partially going on in the system just say tribalism, Naga society in then and now has completely change as far I see things all the changes that is prevailing now in our society is all because of us, we can’t say that corruption is making our society worst cause if you think corruption, unemployment etc that we all blame of has nothing to do in fact, all the things start from the base line.. That's where we went wrong all this year's and we are just not able to correct it till now. You know when we talk about society in Nagaland we have classified in different variant just like cake with different flavour and price. Our life style have change and we even have four lane that's a very big thing right but as time goes we the nave people have lost ourself, we are losing our identity, our touch with our own land that what the problem is young thousand and thousand of educated youth pass out every year but there is no input towards our Naga society because we are way too educated to think of the challenges cause we just need the job that's it who cares about society when I got a job so you really think that this are all the challenges that we the Naga people are facing in our society? I think we have think all over again and again.
• 1) TRIBALISM 2) CORRUPTION 3) UNEMPLOYMENT 4) UNLIMITED FACTIONS 5) NEPOTISM 6) LOCAL DADAS 7) INFLUX OF IMMIGRANTS 8) Etc..etc...etc...etc.
• Laziness
• Zlose track of our true identity in Christ and got drunk with mix philosophies and ideologies, like God said, with much education rots the soul.
• All of the above.....why do you ask stupid questions when u are already facing all of it??
• I fell it's 'Education' and lack of proper guidance by the elders, we learn what we see around. I am very much close to Naga people, staying in Nagaland for past few years I have seen and learnt that Naga brothers should respect one another coz if you don't respect your own people you can't expect outsiders to respect you. My baba tells if we human want peace our world will be a different place.
• Tribalism >Corruption >Unemployment >Others
• Others - TOXIC CRITICAL BEHAVIOUR. Nagas can't take it when another Naga is doing well in life. You try to pull each other down resulting in no clear winner. Don't get me wrong, competition is necessary but healthy competition is lacking. Look at how Mizos are doing so well in their state compared to Nagaland. They know how to encourage and help their own people. In Nagaland, everyone is trying to pull each other down. Aside from corruption which most Nagas only know and tend to be hypocritical on, there are so many societal errors to be addressed many of which begin at home that can migrate to the larger societal circles. For instance, if it is a matter of urgency, someone will do something as petty as cut a line in a long bank queue. A friend once told me, the people of Nagaland have jumped straight from basically the stone age to the industrial era whereby missing out on the bronze, golden, etc. Ages which i think are crucial in contributing towards societal building. Just my two-cents.
• All of above options is missing. Example. It's like what curry do you have? A. Chicken. B. King Chilly. C. Salt. D. Others
• The last option should be all of the above.
• Corruption and unemployment pretty much goes hand in hand in Nagaland…majorrr problem… tribalism is unobtrusively present like a lurking serpent. It's a barbaric ideology that really is somewhat disruptive.
• As long as u have “ism” there always will be others that follow

• Division of Nagaland. Now the eastern Nagas are demanding for separation. Nagas are dividing… unity has lost its way among our Naga people.

• Selfishness - want to help only ones tribe( tribalism) , nijor laga bhal hoi leah hoishea the rest can go to hell ( corruption), VIP culture, wanting things without hard work.
• All option is not less than each other,,, every option is popularly visible to naga society
• Not following the principles Nagaland for Christ is the root to all the above stated options n more.
• It all begin with us and it end with us!!!
