YouthNet invites Nagaland startups

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 25 (MExN): YouthNet has invited applications from Nagaland-based startups under the MeitY GENESIS Programme, a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) in partnership with the MeitY Startup Hub (MSH).

Neikepekho Shosahie, Associate Director of YouthNet, said the programme offers technology-driven startups from Nagaland and the Northeast access to funding, mentorship, and national exposure. YouthNet Incubation Centre is the only implementing partner in the state.

MeitY GENESIS aims to strengthen India’s deep-tech startup ecosystem by helping founders validate, scale, and commercialise innovations in Tier-II and Tier-III cities.

Under the Matching Investment Funding Scheme, eligible startups can avail equity-based support of up to Rs 50 lakh on a 1:1 matching basis. Targeted sectors include artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, IoT, blockchain, fintech, ed-tech, health-tech, and other deep-tech domains. Applicants must be DPIIT-recognised private limited companies with market-ready products. Startups previously supported under TIDE 2.0 (Scale-up) or SAMRIDH are not eligible.

The Pilot Funding Scheme provides up to Rs 40 lakh for testing market-ready solutions with corporates, PSUs, or large enterprises. Corporate partners must have a minimum five-year track record and turnover of Rs 75 crore. Applications are open until October 31, 2025.
