Kohima, October 9 (MExN): Marking their 58th Rising Day with a noble service initiative, the 4th Nagaland Armed Police (NAP) Battalion, Thizama, in collaboration with Voluntary Blood Donors Association of Nagaland (VBDAN), organized a voluntary blood donation camp at Thizama.

Addressing the gathering as the special speaker, 4th NAP Commandant Vizhoto Hibo shared a deeply personal experience, revealing that four units of donated blood had once saved his mother’s life.

Donating blood for the 8th time during the drive, Hibo emphasized that it is the inherent duty of police officers to give back to society. He added that God has bestowed human beings with the unique gift of blood so they can help those in dire need.

Speaking on behalf of the VBDAN, Bendang Imsong briefed the attendees on the significance and health benefits of voluntary blood donation. Imsong commended the participants, noting that when it comes to saving lives, the true measure of success lies not in the sheer quantity of donors, but in the quality and selflessness of individuals who step forward to give blood freely.

The event saw active participation from officers and personnel of the 4th NAP Battalion, reaffirming their commitment to serving the community both in and out of uniform.
