Dimapur, August 22 (MExN): Can Youth commemorating its 10th Foundation Day on August22 distributed over 1800 packages of sanitary pads to the adolescent girls of Neisatuo Colony, Darogajan Village, women sanitation workers, wives and daughters of labours under Dimapur Municipal Council , Women Home Stay Prodigal’s home and Miqlat Ministry women shelter home.
The sanitary pads were donated by Kalki Koechlin Bollywood actress and Suhani Mohan founder & Team of Saral Design, a Mumbai based start-up who provide access to high quality and affordable personal hygiene products.
Can Youth, Secretary, Kivitoli K Sema in a press release stated that the pads were distributed keeping in note about the current pandemic where every individual life has been impacted, “this initiative is to support women and young girls to maintain genital hygiene.”
